GET TO KNOW ME...
I'm McKenna, and I'm an actress from Pittsburgh, PA. I've trained in theatre, singing, and acting over the past 10+ years. I've been drawn to performance from a young age, whether it be singing in choirs, doing jazz hands in junior productions, or making silly home videos with my dad.
Fast forward to present day, I've trained at some of the top performing arts schools and academies in the country, including graduating from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee with my BFA in Musical Theatre. From there, I plan to continue my career in tv/film, onstage, behind a mic, and wherever else life takes me.
I'm super passionate about what I do, and I hope it can make a difference, even if it's simply putting a smile on someone's face.<3
TIMELINE
2014-2016
THE BEGINNING
After trying my hand at multiple hobbies, instruments, and even training with a youth choir in Pittsburgh for two years, I finally landed on theatre one Summer. I was hesitant at first, but my parents urged me to try it out---I decided to give it a shot at a musical theatre academy called Pittsburgh Musical Theater. It was a side of performance that I'd never previously experienced, and I quickly fell in love with it. Finally, after trying out so many things, something seemed to have stuck.
2016-2020
HIGH SCHOOL
After training in theatre for a few years, I decided I wanted to go to a high school where I could really hone in on my passion. I auditioned for Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School while finishing up my 8th grade year at public school. I was accepted, kickstarting another chapter of my life in regards to stage performance. I went there for all four years of high school, performing in 9+ productions in their union-level theater. I graduated in 2020 with multiple honors, including being part of the International Thespian Society and the National Honor Society of Dance Arts.
2020-2024
COLLEGE - PRESENT
Even though I auditioned for over 15 schools my senior year of high school, I had my sights set on one in particular: Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music. Throughout my years in Boston, I took various classes in acting, voice and speech, dance, and musical theatre, as well as private vocal and repertoire lessons each week. I also took multiple acting for the camera classes; this drove me to audition for and be cast in 3 off-campus student films, where I really found a love for screen acting!
